Feed The Noise

McDonald’s and Chief’s Promotion

When McDonalds KC came to the agency with a Chiefs partnership, we didn’t have to look for an idea; the idea yelled at us from within Arrowhead Stadium–the loudest in the NFL.

I named the idea “Feed the Noise,” and the team got busy creating work that generated buzz by letting people all over the city join the noise, sharing on social media, and promoting McD’s Triple Chiefs burger to the hungry masses.

#feedthenoise

Reaching out beyond the stadium.

We fed the social media noise by tracking and responding to fans and Chiefs mentions in real time on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. We also gave the fans Chiefs emojis and a Snapchat filter so they could show their true colors to the Kingdom.

Soundbooth

Giving the fans a chance to make some noise.

We invited fans to participate in the Feed the Noise ferver by setting up a noisebooth around the city and let fans test their decibel level. Clips were sharable to their own pages and on the website.

Results

The promotion was a “screaming” success (see what I did there?) with over 3.6 million impressions as restaurant visits ballooned during the season.
